A perfect hat to make for that special newborn, since it is gender-neutral (depending on the color you chose to knit with…you can even make several in white or ivory, and just use different colored ribbons for the ties! It features a row of decorative eyelets for a front ribbon and another row of plain eyelets at the back, making it totally adjustable! Unlike most newborn baby hats, this one is designed to “grow” with baby for awhile, so your precious new arrival will be able to wear it for a longer time…just adjust the two ribbons to fit baby’s head. If you make charity hats for a hospital, this pattern is perfect – it’s knit flat on two needles, there’s no sewing of any seams to irritate baby’s tender skin, and it’s adjustable! Made with a soft acrylic sport weight yarn, it can even be machine washed and dried!
